Our heritage begins in early 1900 along the humble village in Germany. Raised from a modest butcher family, at the young age of 10, Mr. Axel Arras, founder of FPS has been drilled in the Art of Butchery by his grandfather, late honorary Mr. XXXXX by the day. On sunset, Mr. XXX, father of Axel will coach him on food processing, all to support the family living. This set a strong foundation for Axel to be graduated from Bachelor of Meat Science at PB School, Darmstadt in 1986 and Master of Food Science at Heine faculty, Frankfurt University in 1989 with high distinction. This did not stop him and with his leadership and determination, he went on to lead the German National team to win the IFFA World Champion Chip with the fine food (equivalent of Olympic game) twice in 1996 and 1999!
He started his international career once again in foods industry and gained valuable exposure from R&D, sales and marketing, production and later on to setup his own consultancy firm. His creativity led him to invent the natural system in protein food processing i.e. “Meat-in-Meat” as well as “Fish-in-Fish” Injection technology that is being used widely now for shelf life enhancement.
In 2007, where the world population especially Asia is growing exponentially, worsening of food shortages is a real growing concern. Foods just cannot be produced or manufactured in the conventional way if the world wants to ride out of this vicious cycle. Our founder finally decided to wield his combined experience of 122 years heritage knowhow and established FPT (Food Processing Technology) in Bangkok, a capital city of Thailand. FPT successfully transformed many conventional food manufacturers in the regions into internationally recognizable brands through improved yield, reduce food wastages, extended shelf life and increases profitability by riding on FPT unique and sustainable food solutions. In 2012, Thailand successfully positioned itself as the “Kitchen of the World” with an annual value of food exports exceeding 1 trillion baht.
